JUNGLE EXPEDITION FROM WEST TO EAST OF MERU BETIRI NATIONAL PARK

TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 01: TRANSFER IN – JEMBER (L,D) Upon arrival at Juanda Airport – Surabaya / Abd. Rahman Saleh – Malang, meet and greet with our guide, then transfer toJember. Lunch will be served at local restaurant en route. Late afternoon arrive in Jember, then transfer to your hotel, Free programme, Dinner and stay overnight.

DAY 02: JEMBER – SUMBER GADUNG – MERU BAY (B,L,D) Wake up call 4 am in the morning . Depart from your hotel at 5 am to Meru Betiri National Park with jeep safari 4WD. It’s about 2 hours drive passing villages, rubber plantations and forest until arrived at starting point in Sumber Gadung village . From this point the Jungle Expedition will be started. Our team will be assist you to explore Meru Betiri forest for 3 days where you will find beautiful secluded beach , wild animals like of birds, monkeys , deers , pigs , wild bull also floras of meru betiri . Start trekking will pass through the rubber plantations and steep climbs up to the slopes of the mountain and continued traverse a path that cut to many small river stream until reaches the top of the hill in PAL 21. Then the path down through the bamboo forest to Meru Bay . Camp with tents and cooking and resting. (Trekking time about 5-6 hours)

DAY 03: MERU BAY – PERMISAN BAY (B,L,D) Wake up in the morning to seeing the sunrise in Meru Bay. After that, you can bath in the stream next to the camp and get breakfast . The second day jungle trekking will be start at 9 am, you must crossing the mouth of the river to reach the eastern part of Meru Bay , then continue trekking on the beach about 2 km along the coastline of Meru Bay. If you are lucky will find a wild animal footprints in the sand. After crossing two mouth of the river then trekking into the jungle and traverse a path that cut to many small stream until reaches the top of the hill in Tumbak Daung. After enjoy rest, then continue trekking to Permisan Bay about an hour. Camp with tents , cooking and resting. (Trekking time about 4-5 hours)

DAY 04: PERMISAN BAY – SUKAMADE (B,L,D) Wake up in the morning to see the sunrise in Permisan bay, then showering in the permisan waterfall. Breakfast in camp. The third day jungle trekking will be start at 9 am, trekking up hill to crossing a small river above the waterfalls, then to top of the hill then continued walk down the jungle to achieve bamboo forest and crossing small rivers until arrived in Sukamade village in late afternoon,   then walk to the Sukamade guest house for stay overnight. After dinner visiting Sukamade beach with jeep safari for seeing turtle lay egg on the beach. It’s about 5 Km or 30 minutes drive with jeep to Sukamade post. The rangers of national park will give you information about turtles and visitor rules , after that continue walk to the beach about 700 meters. We hope lucky night and find some turtles where laying egg on the beach. After midnight back to the Guest

DAY 05: SUKAMADE – JEMBER (B, L) Wake up in the morning about 6 am, to Sukamade beach for release the baby turtles to ocean, then back to the guest house. After having breakfast , check out and continued drive to outside the jungle. Stop over at Green Bay , then enjoy soft trekking to Green Bay. It’s one of hidden bay with white sandy beach with beautiful panoramic and calm waves are ideal for swimming and sunbathing. After one hour enjoy time in the beach then continue drive back to Jember or tranfer to Ketapang Port in Banyuwangi. End of tour.

Suggest flight: better time arrive in Juanda Airportbefore 10.00 am.
